Tomorrow

March 13, 2009

It took me a long time to become this girl.

This girl who is willing to look life right in the eyes and say, “Bring it.”
The girl who would rather live than sit around dreaming of someday living.
The girl who is always looking for more love to give and more love to share.
The girl who wants to learn.
The girl who wants to teach.
The girl who wants to reach out and know she really touched somebody.

The people who say the four years you’ll spend in high school are the best four years of your life are LIARS.
The people who say the four (ish?) years you’ll spend in college are the best years of your life are LIARS.

Life gets better every single damn day, even the shitty days, because you always come out on the other end having learned something about yourself and the people and the world around you.

And when you start to realize how truly wonderful the entire world can be and what possibilities may await you, well, you can’t help but keep looking forward to tomorrow.

Whatever time and effort it took to make you who you are *right this minute*, it was well worth it. Because you rock.

    xoxo

I love it. You are so right! I just said something similar to a friend who hasn’t spoken to me in months; I told her that even though it sucks that she’s decided not to be my friend anymore, I’m thankful for her because I’m continually learning through this ordeal — about myself, about relationships, etc. Anyway, thanks for sharing! I feel encouraged. :)

I just got goosebumps. This is so true. Especially the part about life getting better every day. Because it does and it should if you look at it that way.
